It was another sunny day in Portland, so I went and did a little shopping. My dress is what I wore years ago for my little brothers college graduation, its a great dress for traveling because it doesn't need ironing. My wedges are comfortable for walking through the mall, and my purse pulled it all together. I lightly dabbed on Black Cherry Lip and Cheek Stain.

The Beautystand Organic Cucumber Martini Recipe

A Cucumber Martini is a very refreshing cocktail for a summer night BBQ or lounging on the back deck with your honey. I paired mine with a grilled steak salad with fresh romaine lettuce. 

Ingredients

2 1/2 oz of Rain Organics Cucumber Lime Vodka

1 1/2 oz of Lejon Extra Dry Vermouth

4 slices of cucumber

1/2 cup of ice

2 Tbsp of sea salt

2 grinds of fresh ground black pepper

Muddle your cucumbers in your strainer with the black pepper if desired, add your ice and liquor. Before I strain, I like to add sea salt to the rim of my martini glass. The best way to do this in to rub your cucumber along the rim of the glass then the dip in the salt. Shake vigourously and pour. Garnish with a cucumber and serve!

We have been working on the launch of Treat's new Banana Cream Jumbo Lip Balm and I seem to have bananas on the brain because I'm obsessed with yellow this week. This is my version of cheap and steep. I prefer to spend my money on accessories and love expensive jewelry and handbags. However I like my clothes to be less expensive so I bought this dress from Ross for only $10 and paired it with my favorite designer purse and Cartier jewelry.

Last night we were going out to dinner to celebrate the launch of my new Banana Cream Jumbo Lip Balm for Treat. I'm so excited to introduce it to everyone. It turned out even yummier than I had hoped and just might be my new favorite Treat. My dress is Calvin Klein from a couple of summers ago. This purse is the cutest little handbag from Alexis Hudson that I use all the time to go out.

The Beautystand Garnish

The last couple of days I have been exploring Alberta Street in Portland looking for cute new Treat shops. When I was walking by Garnish I had to stop in to look at all  the beautiful clothes made by owner and designer Erica Lurie. Everything in Garnish is so elegant and beautiful and the fabrics Erica uses feel amazing. 

I was so excited to find this pink pashmina Erica ordered from Turkey. I have been looking for a pashmina in this shade of pink for the longest time because it reminds me of Treat's Cotton Candy Lip Creme. To feed my bracelet obsession I picked up this one in yellow agate which also makes me think of candy. It must be because I'm looking for Treat shops because it would seem I have candy on the brain.
